Part time - General Dentist Dubbo

A part time position (2.5 days each week) has become available at our privately-owned dental practice in the heart of beautiful Dubbo. 

This busy 3-chaired practice has been established for over 40 years, having a strong focus on preventative dentistry with a loyal and motivated patient base. You will be working as part of a well-structured team consisting of a Senior Dentist, Dental Hygienist (Orofacial Myologist), Dental Therapist and Prosthetist and be provided with all the tools needed to be successful.

The role is 10am to 5.00pm on Thursday, 8.30am to 5pm Friday and 8.30am to 3.00pm on Saturday with scope to adjust these hours to suit the right candidate.

• A Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent
• Experience as a dentist in Australia
• A Current AHPRA registration and working rights in Australia

Temporary/casual position for experienced dentist

We are seeking an experienced dentist for a locum role in Canberra during April. The role is for a period of 1 month, 5-6 days per week from Monday to Saturday in a general practice.

The role is covering the principal dentist while she is away for one month. The practice is a busy general practice that is open 5½ days per week on Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings.

Experienced private dentist needed for dental clinic in Oberon, Central West

This is an opportunity for a dental practice or private dentist (sole trader) to provide a part-time dental service in Oberon using the dental room at Oberon Multipurpose Service.  The dentist is expected to work with their own dental assistant at all times and to participate in the Oral Health Fee for Service Scheme accepting patients of the Local Health District in addition to private patients.  

The following equipment is available for use at the clinic by a visiting private dentist:

• Planmeca Compact Dental Chair with LED light

• Planmeca Pro X Intra-Oral X-ray unit

• Dentist and Assistant stools

• Office desk and chair

The following equipment would need to be supplied by the visiting dentist:

• Dental operating cart. Must have in built compressor 

• Portable Suction Unit (eg Cattani Aspijet) 

• Dental handpieces to use with the operating cart

• All instruments and consumables including gloves

Please note: there is no autoclave to reprocess instruments on site, so a visiting private dentist would need to take used instruments off site to their base clinic for reprocessing.

Skills and experience 

• Full registration as a Dentist with AHPRA

• Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to provide competent dentistry 

• Demonstrated sound clinical and diagnostic skills

• Sound understanding of and commitment to infection control standards
